Q. Does Green Crescent sell individual policies?
A. Green Crescent deals with group policies only. Groups are those of 10 or more employees.

Q. Do you deal with other types of Insurance?
A. Right now, we are specialized in health insurance only.

Q. Where and how can I apply for a Group Insurance policy and obtain a quotation?
A. Please contact our customer service team at 800 42 (GCIC) 42 42 to leave your details, so we can arrange for one of our sales person to coordinate with you at the earliest. Alternatively, you may also choose to fill our online form under "Request a quote" section of Green Crescent website.

Q. How do I know what my policy covers?
A. Please refer to CD received along with your Insurance card for the details of policy cover specific to your plan.

Q. How can I obtain Network provider list?
A. Please refer to CD received along with your Insurance card for Network Provider List specific to your plan. Alternatively, you can call our customer service contact number 800 42 (GCIC) 42 42 to find the information or place a request to obtain such list.

Q. In which countries can I get treatment under my policy?
A. Depending on your policy, you may be covered by one or more of Green Crescent's exclusive regional and/or global networks covering, UAE, United States and across 180 countries worldwide.

Q. How do I submit my claims and what documents are required for claims submission?
A. Claims can be submitted to your Human Resource department or the assigned Health Insurance coordinator at your company.
Documents required for claims submission:
Copy of Green Crescent Card #
Itemized bill/invoice with date
Original medication prescription given by the treating doctor
Investigation results/reports like laboratory test, x-ray, etc.
Medical report/discharge summary stamped and signed by the doctor for hospitalization cases only
Copy of the passport showing exit and re-entry to UAE or any other similar documents(e.g. e-gate) for treatment outside UAE only
Documents written in other languages are required to be translated to English or Arabic only.

Note: Submission of the claims should be within 60 days from the date of service/treatment inside the UAE, and 90 days from the date of service/treatment outside the UAE.

Q. How long would it take for the claims to be processed?
A. On submission, the claims are verified and an acknowledgement is issued to your HR confirming of the completeness of the documents. It takes 10 working days for the claim to be processed from the day of an acknowledgement receipt issued to your HR.

Q. Does Green Crescent cover Government hospitals on direct billing?
A. Treatment at Government hospitals would be on Reimbursement basis as per your policy terms and conditions, as we do not have direct arrangements with these hospitals at this time.

Q. If I have a 6 children and my company covers only 3 children under my policy, how can I include the others?
A. Please co-ordinate with your HR department to include your other children, for which you may incur an extra cost, deducted from your salary by your employer.

Q. Is it possible to upgrade our plan (e.g. from Silver to Gold etc) on payment of extra premium. What procedure needs to be followed?
A. Plan design was requested by your employer. Please coordinate with your HR to get more information on the available plans.

Q. How can I get the lost card replaced, and how much time does it take to issue the replaced card?
A. Notify your HR department of the lost card. Green Crescent will issue a replaced card within 2-3 working days from the day the written request is received from your HR for replacement of your lost card.

Q. How do I request for an Insurance certificate or letter for travel visa purposes at Embassies?
A. Please contact our Customer Service Center at 800 42 (GCIC) 42 42 to place your request.

Q. How do I enroll for Chronic Medication Benefit?
A. Please fill the chronic medication benefit form, with personal information and details of your treating doctor and preferred pharmacy which has to be part of your assigned network, and send a scanned copy by email to CIM@green-crescent.com

Q. How do I obtain the Chronic Medication Benefit form?
A. You can obtain the form through our website or alternatively, you can contact our Customer Service contact number 800 42 (GCIC) 42 42 to request the form.

Q. Is Green Crescent Insurance Company registered under HAAD?
A. Green Crescent is licensed and supervised under HAAD. To check our company name on HAAD listing of Insurance Companies, please visit www.haad.ae

Q. What does the abbreviations D, Co, Ph, IN, OP, CN, GN, RN, SN, WN, MB, DB, OB on the card means?
A. D: stands for deductible, which is the eligible amount of fee paid by member against consultation fee
Co: Is a percentage of the bill that you will have to pay on total amount or the specific service like pharmacy and rest will be paid by your Insurance Company (e.g. Co:0% or Co: Ph:20%)
PH: Co-pay on pharmacy
IN: In-patient treatment
OP: Out-patient treatment
CN: Comprehensive Network
GN: General Network
RN: Resident Network
SN: Standard Network
WN: Workers Network
MB: Maternity benefit
DB: Dental Benefit
OB: Optical Benefit
